Fly of the Week: Letort Hopper

This hopper pattern was created in the 1950's by Ed Shenk, from right here in good ol' Pennsylvania. It's simple, fairly easy to tie, and can do wonders on a trout stream in mid-summer.

But a word of warning, if your not careful, this can start to look like a muddler minnow.

Letort Hopper:
#8 hook (can be tied on 14-6)
Body: Hare's Ear Dubbing
Wing: Inner - Mottled Turkey Quill, Outer - Grey Deer Belly
